Ex-minister Arun Jaitley on life support

Former finance minister Arun Jaitley who was admitted in the
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi
on 9 August is currently on life support system.

66-year-old Jaitley was taken to the hospital after he complained of
breathlessness and uneasiness.

Jaitley is reported to be in a stable condition without any changes and is
being observed round the clock by a team of doctors at AIIMS.

Several prominent leaders and politicians have visited the hospital to meet
Arun Jaitley and enquire about his health in the past few days.

Some of the visitors include Defence Minister Rajnath Singh,
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister
Piyush Goyal, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister
Mayawati, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

“I visited AIIMS today to enquire about the health condition of former
finance and defence minister, and senior BJP leader Shri Arun Jaitley. I met
his family and consoled them and prayed to the almighty that he recovers
soon,” Mayawati tweeted.

In 2018, Arun Jaitley had underwent a Kidney transplant operation and was
later diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and had to stay for months in
New York for treatment.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid a visit to the
ailing politician yesterday and tweeted, “Visited Sh Arun Jaitley ji. I pray
to God for his good health and fast recovery.”
