The Indian Army has rejected the Pakistan military’s claim
that it killed five Indian soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu
and Kashmir during a cross border firing incident. The Indian Army says the
claims are “fictitious”.
The Indian Army made this statement after a spokesperson for the Pakistan
military Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that three of
its soldiers and five Indian personnel were killed in the cross-border
firing. In a tweet, Ghafoor also alleged that the Indian Army has increased
firing along the LoC in an effort to divert attention from the current
situation in J&K and said that a number of bunkers were damaged.
